    20 CVF-002436—Dayo Spencer vs. Renew Property Services LLC, et al.

    Charles A. Jones, whose last known place of residence is 2223 Murray Hill Road, Unit 2, Cleveland, Ohio 44106, otherwise whose place of residence is unknown; Renew Property Services LLC, whose last known address is 10006 Plymouth Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44125, otherwise whose address is unknown, will take notice that on February 19, 2020, the undersigned, Dayo Spencer, filed his complaint in the Cleveland Municipal Court, 1200 Ontario Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44113, of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, alleging that in August 2018, Plaintiff hired Defendants to perform work at her residence at 5209 Wetzel Avenue, Cleveland; that the total price (including materials) was $4,029.00; that Plaintiff paid Defendants a deposit of $2,014.50 at the time the agreement was executed; that Defendants failed to complete the agreed work in a timely and satisfactory manner; that what work Defendants did complete was substandard, unworkmanlike, not as the parties agreed, and in fact resulted in damage to Plaintiff's property; that Plaintiff's subsequent attempts to discuss these issues with Defendants proved fruitless; that as a result of Defendants' actions, Plaintiff was forced to hire another contractor to repair the damage and complete the work properly; that the cost to Plaintiff of hiring another contractor was $5,899.63.

    Plaintiff prays for judgment against Defendants, on all counts, in an amount in excess of $6,000, together with costs incurred herein and interest from the date of judgment;

    Plaintiff further prays for any and all other relief deemed appropriate by this Court including, but not limited to, interests, costs and/or reasonable attorney's fees.

    The defendants named above are required to answer on or before the 16th day of September, 2021.
