2025 ADV 297586—PNC Bank, National Association, as Trustee of the Esther Wise Trust U/W U/A/D 03/07/1973 vs. Valerie Anne (Hope) Hilligan, et al.
Unknown Heirs of the Estate of Esther Wise, the address of each being unknown, will take notice on April 23, 2025, the undersigned, PNC Bank, National Association, as Trustee of the Esther Wise Trust U/W U/A/D 03/07/1973, filed a complaint in the Probate Court, One Lakeside Avenue, N.W., of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, alleging that Esther Wise, as grantor, established the Esther Wise Trust Under Will on March 7, 1973; that the Trust, which was testamentary in nature, became irrevocable upon the death of the Grantor on or about May 1, 1973; that the Grantor named one beneficiary: her granddaughter, Laurie Jane Hope, for Laurie's lifetime; that Laurie died December 25, 2022 without issue; and that the Trust does not direct the Trustee how to dispose of the remaining Trust assets upon Laurie's death, and the Trustee cannot act without instructions from the Court.
The Trustee prays that this Court enter a judgment declaring to whom the Trustee shall distribute the remaining Trust assets and to the extent the Trustee is ordered to distribute remaining Trust assets, the Trustee requests the Court relieve PNC Bank, National Association, as Trustee of the Trust and in its corporate capacity, from any liability for administration, allocation, and distribution of the Trust in accordance with the Trust and as ordered by the Court.
The defendants named above are required to answer on or before the 21st day of November, 2025.
