Legal Notice2025 ADV 297531—The Estate of LaQuitta F. Anderson, by its Duly Appointed Fiduciary Shorain L. McGhee vs. LaQuitta Anderson Lewis, aka LaQuitta Anderson, et al.Clarence Harian, Maurice Ofield and Nubian Construction Management, Inc., the address of each being unknown, will take notice on May 15, 2025, the undersigned, The Estate of LaQuitta F. Anderson, by its Duly Appointed Fiduciary Shorain L. McGhee, filed an amended complaint in the Probate Court, One Lakeside Avenue, N.W., of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, alleging that Plaintiff is the fiduciary of the Estate of LaQuitta F. Anderson, deceased; that she was duly appointed fiduciary on or about August 12, 2024 in Cuyahoga County Probate Court Case No.: 2021 EST 260282; that there is a pending land sale action in which the Plaintiff was attempting to obtain title over the real estate located at 401 Cleveland Road, Cleveland, Ohio, more particularly described as follows:
Permanent Parcel No. 111-18-103
Situated in the City of Cleveland, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: And known as being Sublot No. 161 in L.M. Southren's Forest Park Subdivision of part or Original One Hundred Acre Lots Nos. 358, 359, and 365 and 366, as shown by the recorded plat in Volume 27 of Maps, Page 23 of Cuyahoga County Records, and being 40 feet front on the Northeasterly side of Cleveland Road, N.E., and extending back of equal with 100 feet, as appears by said plat, be the same more or less but subject to all legal highways.
Plaintiff further says that on or about March 31, 2025, a Quit Clain deed purportedly signed by "LaQuitta F. Anderson" attempted to transfer title of the subject real estate to Clarence Harian, and was recorded in the Cuyahoga County Office of the Recorder; that since 2002, LaQuitta F. Anderson (who is now deceased) was the sole owner of the subject real estate; and that LaQuitta Anderson Lewis did not have the right and/or authority to transfer the subject real estate, as she was neither the owner of the real estate nor the fiduciary for the owner of it.
Plaintiff prays for the following relief:
a. The Court issue an order requiring the Cuyahoga County Recorder to transfer the title of the subject real estate back to the late LaQuitta F. Anderson by this Court's Order;
b. Actual damages caused to Plaintiff by the actions of Defendant LaQuitta Anderson Lewis;
c. Punitive damages in the maximum amount permitted under Ohio law;
d. Court costs and attorney fees assessed against the Defendant LaQuitta Anderson Lewis; and
e. Any other relief this Court deems fair, just, and equitable.
The defendants named above are required to answer on or before the 16th day of January, 2026.
